Glider Designs
- The glider has very good lift
- The glider is very light
OUTCOMES TO CHANGE:
- Slightly pulls to the right
- Pulls up then stalls if not thrown hard
QUESTIONS RAISED:
- How to fix the pull to the right
- How to make it go faster
IDEAS GENERATED:
- Add more wieght to keep from pulling up
- Put a stabalizing wing to keep from drifting right

Iteration #1
JUSTIFICATION IN RED
ACHIEVEMENTS EARNED: 15
Idea Generation Achievements-
- Sketch of one possible solution
- Generate a list of achievements for build day
- Document a plan to ensure materials are brought in on block day
Build Achievements-
Material Size-
- Your material fits inside a printer paper box
- Your material fits inside a shoe box
Material Weight-
- Your materials weigh less than 500 grams
- Your materials weigh less than 300 grams
- Your materials weigh less than 200 grams
- Your materials weigh less than 150 grams
- Your materials weigh less than 100 grams
- Your materials weigh less than 50 grams
Drop Achievements-
Drop Accuracy-
- NONE
Egg Resilience-
- Your egg broke but the yolk remained intact
- Your egg cracked but the yolk remained inside and intact
- Your egg cracked but was still together
Calculation Achievements-
- NONE
Other Achievements-
- Help set up the bulls eye
The designs that seemed to work best for my class were the ones that were very simple, light, and had a lot of padding around the egg.
If i were to redesign my solutions, I would use less rubber bands and more cotton balls because the rubber bands put to much pressure on the egg.

TED pt I - Ideas worth Spreading?
1) The TED organization is about letting people speak about the ideas they have on different and important subjects.
2) The purpose of their website is to let people that were not invited to the TED convention can still learn about these new ideas through watching videos.
3) I believe the science , technology and design topics are the most important because all of those have an equal influence on you develop a product in engineering.
4) A: "Are We Born To Run" because it opens up alot of new design possibilities.
B: "Eythor Bender Demos Human Exoskeletons" because it shows the huge advances in technology and the possiblity for more.

Reverse Engineering: Mechanicnal Product - Functional Analysis
1. What is the purpose or primary function of the object? To read a game and project the visual and sound on the screen.
2. Make an educated guess as to how this product operates. Use simple machines’ terminology to explain the object’s sequential operation.
there is a light bulb to produce the visual, a speaker to produce the sound and a small computer chip to read the information on the games.
3. Identify the system inputs, intended product function, and outputs. Use power point to create a "black box" graphic like the toothbrush example discussed in class. Save the slide as a .jpg image and post it to answer this question.
AT TOP
4. What mechanical components are visible?
the only visible part is the screen where the light is being produced.
5. What is it about this device’s function that you cannot identify, because the mechanical components are hidden from plain view?
I can not identify how it makes a vibration because it is covered by the plastic shell.

op in: less is more
- It has a very light weight design that allows for less fabric to be use
- Its over all design is very sleek which gives it less wind resistence.
- The grip is very basic but very effective because it is put together in big pieces of the same grip rather that many small pieces of different grips
The New Balance design team used most of the 12 step process.
- They identified the problem
- they thought of new ideas for that problem
- they brainstormed designs
- came up with a model and tested it
- redesigned the model for better preformance
- finally the tested their final product and sumitted it to New Balance

Graphic Design: What's Going On In This Design?
It came from Classic and Sports Cars Magazine.
The article is pretty easy and clear to read.
the size of the article is not to long and it gets right to the point.
the message stays on topic and only talks about the product.
1. What are the trends? Why is it important to identify them prior to graphic design?
trends are the things that people are into at that time. you need to know them so you can design somthing that fallows those trends.
2. How does human nature play a role in how a product is marketed to a specific demographic group?humna nature plays a very big role because humans decide things based on how they feel about the product.
3. how is a potential audience identified?
they can be identified threw many different ways, commercials, adds, surveys.
4. what must you discover about the target audience prior to graphic design?
you must discover the trends of ur target audience and find what they are into.
